Oboz has been awarded Bronze position in the Sustainability category at the 2018 Gear of The Year Awards!

Shortlisted against some fantastic initiatives like Fjallraven's Wool Promise & Re-wool and Patagonia's 'Save the Blue Heart of Europe' Campaign, our One More Tree campaign was a stand out for the judging panel.

Judy Armstrong from The Great Outdoors judging panel marked that "Oboz is taking direct, practical action like planting trees and educating communities."

As you'll know, our One More Tree campaign has now reach reached a notable milestone: we planted 2 million trees in partnership with Trees for the Future, but this award recognizes the other sustainability initiatives that uphold Oboz True to the Trail philosophy too. From purchasing carbon offsets for footwear shipments, powering our HQ offices with clean wind energy from wind farms through the EPA Green Power Partnership to donating unsellable, but still trail-worthy shoes, through partnerships with Project Sole and local non-profits.

You can find all winners & shortlisted campaigns in the January, 2019 edition of The Great Outdoors.
